Enzymology Meetings

Enzymology is a key interest of many of the members of the Division of Biological Chemistry. There are several national and regional conferences that highlight advances in our understanding of enzyme structure, function and mechanism.

UPCOMING EVENTS

29th Enzymology Mechanisms Conference

January 4-8, 2026

Omni La Costa
Carlsbad, CA, USA

Since its inception in 1969, The Enzyme Mechanisms Conference has brought together academic and industrial scientists to discuss new ideas at the forefront of mechanistic enzymology. The goal is to foster collegial interactions among chemists and biochemists who seek to understand the chemical basis for enzymatic catalysis and regulation of enzyme action and those who apply that knowledge for practical applications.

Registration to open in January 2025.

Enzyme Engineering XXVIII

October 19-24, 2025

Marienlyst Strandhotel
Helsingør, Denmark

The Enzyme Engineering Conference is the leading international forum for discussion of enzyme engineering technology and applications. Enzyme Engineering XXVIII will be held in Helsingør, Denmark (October 19-24, 2025). This is only the second time the conference has been held in Denmark since the start of this conference series in 1971. Experts from around the world will present the latest research with the aim of stimulating discussion. Topics that will be discussed at the meeting will be of interest to experts in the field, as well as newcomers, and those that want to apply enzyme engineering in academic research and industrial practice.

Call for abstracts coming soon.

Enzymes, Coenzymes and Metabolic Pathways (GRS)

July 19-20, 2025

Waterville Valley
Waterville Valley, NH, USA

Theme: The Biochemical Complexity Underpinning Enzyme Structure, Mechanism and Evolution. The Enzymes, Coenzymes and Metabolic Pathways GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. This seminar delves into the marvels of proteins. Whether investigating the function of a single enzyme or resolving the structures of multienzyme complexes, this meeting brings together a range of topics and concepts that illustrate how proteins function. Several of these fields include biochemistry and chemical biology, structural biology, pharmacology, molecular biology, protein chemistry, and computational biology.

Applications for oral presentations will be accepted through April 13, 2025. All other applications for this meeting must be submitted by June 21, 2025. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline.
